Winger Otis Khan agrees a new two-year contract with Yeovil

Yeovil Town winger and Sidekick Management client Otis Khan has agreed a new two-year contract.

The 21-year-old made 38 appearances last season and was voted the League Two club’s young player of the year scoring 8 goals and leading the clubs assist stats.

“Otis was a fantastic attacking player for us last season,” said manager Darren Way. “He has gained a lot of experience playing in his first full season of league football.”He attracted interest from other clubs so I’m pleased the board has supported me in securing his services.After a strong first season at Yeovil Town, Khan now has the opportunity to forge a reputation as one of the most promising young attackers in Sky Bet League Two.”

Midfielder Ben Close extends his Fratton Park stay

Portsmouth extend deal with Sidekick Management client Ben Close for a further 2 years.

Ben Close has signed a new one-year Pompey deal, with the club holding an option for a further 12 months.

The 20-year-old midfielder has made 27 appearances since graduating from the Blues’ academy.

“Ben got some vital match experience on loan at the end of the season and is now ready to fight and earn a starting spot at Portsmouth” Brian Howard – Sidekick Management

He spent the second half of the campaign on loan at National League side Eastleigh after injuries halted his progress at his parent club.

Close said: “I’m extremely happy to have signed a new deal to remain at Fratton Park.

Now I’m ready to work hard and really kick on next season to try to nail down a starting place for Pompey.

Hopefully this will be the year when I can get a regular run of games in the side. That’s what I’m looking to do.”

Niall Mason signs for Doncaster Rovers on a 2-year-deal

We are pleased to confirm that Doncaster Rovers have signed Sideckick Management client Niall Mason on a two year deal from Aston Villa.

With Niall’s contract, due to expire this summer Rovers manager Darren Ferguson has moved quickly to make his loan move a permanent one. Niall put in a number of eye catching performances during his loan.

The former Aston Villa player came through the youth ranks at the highly regarded Real Madrid academy with the likes of Enzo and Luca Zidane before moving to England with Blackburn Rovers and then Southampton.

Mason, who is looking forward to this next chapter in his career had this to say – “Obviously getting promotion was amazing for the team and to be part of that is something I am proud of, I already feel at home here. Signing a permanent deal shows that the manager has faith in me and I hope to repay that with even better performances on the pitch.”

Brian Howard who has been working with Niall now for a number years added. “We have seen Niall grow as a player and a man and he deserves this deal. One of the hardest parts of professional football at Niall’s age is getting a loan opportunity at an EFL club and it is just as hard for players to take that opportunity, Niall has more than taken his opportunity and what he has achieved is fantastic.  He puts his heart and soul into his football, we are absolutely delighted for him and excited to see what comes from him over next year and beyond”.

Maz Kouhyar signs new contract with Walsall FC until 2019

After only signing his first professional contract in February 2016, we are proud to confirm that exciting young prospect Maz Kouhyar has signed a contract extension until 2019. 

“I’m really happy to extend my contract with the club,” said Maz  “hopefully I can keep going and do well for the club.  My first few months have been really good for me.  Being in and around the first team, getting a couple of appearances and starting games as well”.

After picking up an injury while on international duty with Afghanistan, Maz is now working hard to get back fit and be back in and around the first team.
