Simon Eastwood signs contract extension at Oxford United

All at Sidekick Management are delighted to confirm that Simon Eastwood has agreed a new two-year contract with Oxford United.

Simon has been a regular starter for the Sky Bet League One club this season, having made over 40 starts in all competitions to date.

“He needed a run of games as first choice and has taken that opportunity and got better and better as the season has gone on.” Matt Kleinman – Sidekick Management

Matt Kleinman was pleased for his client and said the new contract was a result of Simon’s hard work and dedication “this contract is much deserved and Simon was always keen to stay as he sees a bright future under manager Michael Appleton”.

“I’m really happy to have got it all sorted and be committing my future to the club,” said Simon, “I have a young family so you are always looking for a bit of security for the future but it was all very straightforward because I feel as though this is a club on the up at the moment and I want to be a part of that over the next few years.”

Appleton was full of praise for his goalkeeper “Obviously I rate Easty – I’ve signed him three times now! He needed a run of games as first choice and has taken that opportunity and got better and better as the season has gone on. He is still fairly young in terms of goalkeepers and I am sure there is still more to come from him.”

Filipe Morais signs for Bolton Wanderers on a free transfer

We are pleased to confirm that Bolton Wanderers have signed client Filipe Morais on a free transfer until the end of the season.

Bolton manager Phil Parkinson moved to bring Filipe to the Macron Stadium having previously been his manager at former club Bradford City.

Filipe is great guy and a talented player with lots of experience at this level. Matt Kleinman – Sidekick Management

The former Portugal Under-21s international came through the youth ranks at Chelsea under Jose Mourinho and is excited about his new challenge.

“I’m happy to sign for a club with such a great history as Bolton Wanderers and I will do my best to show the manager, my teammates and fans what I can do” said Filipe.

Matt Kleinman was similarly delighted for his client. “Filipe is great guy and a talented player with lots of experience at this level.  He is keen to get to work and repay the faith the manager has shown in him by putting in some strong performances”.
